Diana Nobs is a contemporary artist based in Switzerland.

She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in 2002, specializing in portraits created using charcoal, pastels, acrylic and oils.

Since childhood she has loved drawing and painting and goes so far as to give names to her pencils.

Over time and in the course of her exhibitions the artist has perfected her talents.

Her imagination incorporates many themes in which she painstakingly mixes spontaneity and reflection, beginning with a sketch and then surrendering to her sensitivity and creativity.

She loves to paint personalities whose stories have particularly entranced her in the form of a tribute portrait.

Nature is her muse and she paints beautifuls landscapes, wild animals end beloved pets.

She is a particularly skilful and adept in breathing life into inanimate objects such as adored vehicles such as cars, bikes and motor bikes, these being a regularly requested item. Nothing is beyond her imagination and expertise such that very often objects are given a life of their very own by the artist’s superb skilful hand, eye and imagination, seeming often to leap out of the canvas as if they were the real object.

Little is beyond her talent and her imagination and her creative spirit extends to influences from all ofg her surroundings, these encouraging and, importantly, permitting the artist to deposit them so expertly and with such passion onto her canvas. This process becomes a message and a language, deeply understood and appreciated by her fans.

While she occasionally is without the words, she can more than ably communicate all of her feelings into each painting. Colours are her energies, the brush her mind, her sensitivity taking shape through a captivating chromatic vibration often ponctuated with a carefully chosen colour such as red.
